Welcome to Tyte Cottage, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. Tyte Cottage is a beautiful ground floor property sat within one and a half acres of lovely grounds belonging to the owners. The cottage is located in the village of Great Rollright, which is itself situated on a hilltop, providing panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The village has a close association with the Rollright Stones, a prehistoric stone circle, and with many pretty walks and cycle routes passing through the village, it is a great base for outdoor enthusiasts. The fabulous market town of Chipping Norton, affectionately known as ‘Chippy’, is just over two miles away and offers plenty of dining options and festivals throughout the year, as well as a weekly market showcasing local produce. The many charming towns and villages of the North Cotswolds are a short drive away, as are other world famous attractions, such as Blenheim Palace, the dreaming spires of Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
Spring Farm is a working farm in a peaceful rural location with cattle, horses and chickens in the fields around the farmhouse. It is perfect for a countryside getaway with some lovely walks & cycle rides from the farm (see how to hire bikes below). Feel free to wander round the farm and meet the animals. Spring Farm is less than 3 miles from Soho Farmhouse and there are many superb pubs and restaurants nearby. We would recommend The Boxing Hare, Swerford and The Falkland Arms, Great Tew.
Not a country cottage so no low ceilings, dark rooms and draughts..just well insulated and thoughtfully designed cabin with large windows to take advantage of the views. Definitely not glamping either as full facilities. Not located on a picture postcard street, just in large garden at end of quiet cul de sac but with main road running behind cabin. No struggle to find parking as ample space in own courtyard. Priced so I can afford to include all the little extras that guests value.
