The Cottage is set off the beaten track where you will have the chance to enjoy some peace and quiet and relax!

Converted Barn, Patterdale in the Lake District

Welcome to Crook a Beck Barn, Patterdale a former Cart Barn which we lovingly restored during 2017. The Barn is located on the original coach road in the hamlet of Crook a Beck, next to the village of Patterdale, in the heart of the Lake District, in one of the most beautiful Lake District valleys. During peak season - April to the end of October, 7 nights minimum stay with a Friday changeover. Short breaks may be available so please drop us a message to ask!

The Bothy is a small snug barn conversion adjoining our home close to Ullswater The living accommodation on the ground floor is open plan and has green electric heating and a wood burning stove in a sandstone inglenook, a wooden staircase leads to a bedroom with ensuite facilities. Fern Cottage, Great Strickland

Fern Cottage is a large, light, 3 bedroomed holiday cottage sleeping up to 5 people. In decorating the cottage we have retained all the lovely oak beams and given it a modern twist. A perfect holiday base for touring the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Located 200 meters from the all-important village pub, there are excellent walking and cycling in the area with Lake Ullswater 7 miles; Keswick 20 miles; Penrith and shops 6 miles.
