My house in Forestville is a walk to the river (Steelhead County Beach), near endless wineries, canoe rentals, gorgeous Sonoma coast beaches, Santa Rosa airport, a bicycle trail through West County with bike rentals in downtown Forestville offering immediate access to the trail, and a very well-stocked little grocery store a 5-minute walk down the hill. Lovely back roads take you to Healdsburg to the north or Sebastopol to the south. My dog & I stay in a basement studio when guests are here.

Walk down to the river or the Rio Nido Roadhouse. Downtown Guerneville and Armstrong Woods State Park are a 5 min drive. Haven in the Woods is a short drive from wine tasting rooms and a MacKenzie Northwood Golf Club. Note: Must climb stairs to the house and we do not have a TV (though have strong internet). Overlooking a fern grotto and redwood valley, The Perch lets you experience nature up close. Come unwind and luxuriate in nature. Limited cell service. The room INSIDE has a bed, toilet, sink, mini-fridge, microwave, and electric hot water kettle. OUTSIDE a claw foot tub/shower, private deck & outside kitchen with a gas burner stove. Very rural. It is nestled in the trees, quiet and private, and conveniently located three blocks to the beach and two miles to downtown Guerneville. This bright and cozy studio cabin has a queen size bed, bathroom and kitchenette. It is located only 4 miles from Armstrong Redwoods, 15 miles to the gorgeous Sonoma coast and close to many wineries.

Quiet and secluded, but a short walk down the hill and you're at the independent bookstore and coffee shop; the local beach, with full service rentals and classic canteen or one of Guerneville's fabulous restaurants, boutique shops or (nearly) famous handmade ice cream shop.
