Welcome to Orchard cottage, a single storey building, annexed to ( but separate from ) our house. The cottage is furnished to a high standard. We are situated on the outskirts of a private residential area, just 400 metres from the centre of the historic market town of Welshpool, there are various shops, supermarkets, pubs & restaurants. The magnificent Powis castle is a short walk from the town centre, through the beautiful parkland. Other attractions include Montgomery canal & light railway.

This beautiful, unspoilt detached 1820s gate lodge, with exposed beams, flagstone floor and eclectic decor, lies just a short stroll from the centre of the charming market town of Welshpool, with its fine selection of shops, inns and restaurants. Situated opposite the town’s train station for the Llanfair Heritage Steam Railway. Its location affords easy access to the gateway of wales. Uneven flagstone steps to 1 double bedroom. The living area has an Aga wood burner to keep you warm and cosy in winter and radiators in each room supplied by an oil combi boiler.

Ysgubor Lodge is a unique property nestled in the woods, with a balcony all the way around it so you can sit out and enjoy the environment. It is complete with a bathroom, one double room and one room with 2 single beds, a living room and kitchen. It is heated with a log stove , and fire wood is provided. There is a TV but no signal, but there are plenty of DVDs to watch . Download music if you want to listen to it on bluetooth speaker.
