Hancock, Frenchman's Bay Cottage

Frenchmans Bay is just outside your window. With spectacular 180 degree views of Frenchman's Bay and Mt. Desert Island, it is the perfect spot to enjoy the best of Maine. Located in the famous community of Hancock Point, it offers easy access to Acadia National Park and other attractions, in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful setting. Go hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking or just sit and watch the ever-changing view from the picture windows. This cottage has an open living/dining/kitchen area. Two large sliding glass doors look out onto the water. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, stove with microwave oven, kuerig, double sink, and ample counter space. There are plenty of pots and pans, kitchen gadgets, glassware, silverware, cutlery and dinnerware, gas grill.The master bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed, ample closet space and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds, (day bed with trundle), that are suitable for children or adults. Linens are supplied. NO smoking please. There is a TV with a blu-ray player, no cable and no wifi. If needed, there is a window AC unit. We recently added an outdoor shower with hot water. Because of the rock wall, (10' drop) this cottage may not be suitable for toddlers and younger children. "Bear" cabin is one of four new cabins at Dickens Farms in Eastbrook Maine. Our cabins are spaced for privacy and each has its own fire pit, bbq grill and picnic area. You can enjoy water access to Abrams Pond for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Two kayaks are provided per cabin for your enjoyment. Sit in the screened in porch and listen to nature or head into Acadia National Park to explore. Bike along the private road. Relax with your family for a quick getaway or week long adventure.
