Miss Trimble's @ Dene Lodge, cosy Cornish cottage

You'll never forget your trip to Miss Trimble's Cottage! Miss Trimble's Cottage is named after the first ever resident, Elizabeth Trimble, who lived here in the 1850's. It's the wing of Dene Lodge, a beautiful Victorian "Gentleman's residence" in the heart of the parish of Morwenstow. Just a few minutes from the dramatic Coast Path it is fabulously placed for exploring this stunning area. Endless walks and gorgeous beaches are all very close, so dogs are welcome to join you on your holidays.

This quaint detached barn is full of character and peace (no WIFI). There is an open plan kitchen/living area with a cosy log burner ( logs available at £7 a net) and a slate topped breakfast bar. The property has solid oak flooring throughout except for slate in the bathroom so don’t forget your slippers! The kitchen includes an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, toaster, microwave and kettle. Little Hoops, cosy converted barn

Little Hoops is our cosy converted barn with original beams and underfloor heating throughout making it ideal for a break away at any time. We lovingly restored it with our family a number of years ago and have enjoyed making it a special place to stay, we often joke that it is far nicer than our own home! The barn has a courtyard garden with table and chairs and is close to the local pub, The Crealock Arms. The coast is a 10 min drive away while shops, cafes etc approx 5 mins in a car.

Skirr Cottage was the home of the acclaimed writer Henry Williamson who is best known as the author of Tarka the Otter. With its pretty whitewashed exterior the cottage is set next to a trickling stream next to the historic Norman church of St. George in the heart of Georgeham village. Putsborough surfing beach is a 25 minute walk via fields or via a lane. or 5 minute drive. The Kings Arms and 17th century Rock Inn serving gastro pub food are 1 minute and a 4 minute walk away.
