Aqua park and Nature reserve is also close by. We are also a good base for exploring the lake district with Coniston only being a 35min drive. Scafell Pike is close by too with a 45min drive. The property is close to Hodbarrow which is an RSPB Nature Reserve and it is also on the coast with some stunning dog friendly beaches to walk along. You can walk Black Combe and be rewarded with stunning views, or try wakeboarding, sea fishing or go horse riding on the beach.

Relax and enjoyed our cabin, it’s deck and hot tub or sit in the orchard and watch our hens. During winter when our smallholding settles down awaiting spring it’s a great base to explore the area. You will be the only guests and have the ten peaceful acres to yourself. You may bring One dog for a small fee.

Puddler Cottage is a traditional former mining Cottage in the quiet peaceful Seaside Village of Askam on the shores of the beautiful Duddon Estuary. The Western Lake District and miles of pet friendly beaches are on your doorstep .Askam has a Chippie, Chinese Takeaway, Bakery,Cafe(Thurs-Sun) , Post Office, Off Licence, local Pub(Thurs-Sunday ),Coop, Playground, Picnic Areas and Railway Station are all a few minutes walk away from Puddler Cottage.

The Tractor House

A family run upside down house on a working farm just outside the Lake District. The Tractor House is situated in the farm yard amongst families with small children playing. Expect laughter, fun and friendly farm dogs. Lovely views from the open plan kitchen/living area, footpaths in the fields right on your doorstep to neighbouring villages and the coast. Fresh farm eggs available from our 16 happy, free range hens.
