We welcome kids and can get them & you involved in collecting eggs or feeding animals (depending on availability). For mountain bikers, you can ride through our back paddocks directly onto La Larr Ba Gauwa Mountain bike park or it’s just 2km along the road to the trailhead.

Beautiful views of the surrounding area and friendly locals to offer advice and great food if you choose to eat at their venues. This place is a gem and just a short drive from Melbourne.

Relax on the deck and watch the trains go by, or wander down the road for a cocktail or woodfired pizza. Avenel is a great launching pad for all that the Strathbogie region has to offer - art, history, wine and some fabulous restaurants.

Country unit close to Bendigo

Located in a native garden with fruit trees and veggie garden, within 10 minutes drive to Bendigo. Relax by the firepit and enjoy a BBQ and beer or walk over the road to Farmers Arms Hotel for a meal. We have ample room for a large vehicle, truck or trailer. The O'Keefe Rail Trail for hiking and mountain biking is a 2-minute ride. Close to Heathcote wineries and the attractions of Central Victoria.
