Blackbirds Cottage is a detached spacious two bedroom both en-suite holiday home situated in the heart of Douglas valley, within a ten minute walk to the idyllic village of Parbold which has three country pubs, a wine bar and cafe. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife you’ll be sure of a relaxed, private and peaceful stay.

The Carriage at The Old Station

Step back in time with our lovingly restored 1895 GWR carriage, one of few situated at a Victorian Station. Enjoy a beautifully furnished living space, bathroom, kitchenette, and a comfy bed ensuring a restful night's sleep. Located in Saddleworth, renowned for its scenic walking routes and picturesque villages. Cosy accommodation at farmhouse in Dalton, Parbold

The cosy guest suite includes a living room with TV, leather sofa and armchair, small dining table and 2 chairs. There is a compact kitchen area equipped with combination oven/microwave, hob, fridge and all essential crockery and cookware. The bedroom has an oak framed king size bed with matching bedside tables and is furnished with pine furniture, curtains and a blind. The shower room is spacious and is en suite to the bedroom. There is gas central heating and blinds to most of the windows.

The Annexe

The Annexe is a self contained property directly opposite our family home. All fixtures and fittings have been thoughtfully planned to ensure you have a comfortable stay. There is one large double bedroom with a luxurious king size bed, an open plan living area with a smart TV, log burner for cozy nights and electric heating. The bathroom has a large walk in electric shower. The property is suitable for up to two adults (not suitable for children/toddler’s due to the large pond nearby).

The Retreat Wrightington- 5 minutes from j27 M6

The Retreat is set in the heart of the Wrightington countryside. It is easy to get to, just a few minutes drive from J27 of the M6. Built on a working family run farm it offers stunning views from the living area that is based on the second floor. There are plenty of beautiful local walks in the area and places to eat and shop. Anyone wanting to visit the coast both Blackpool and Southport are within a 30 minute drive and cities like Preston, Manchester and Liverpool are also close by.

Tranquil getaway with steam trains and deer

Wake to birdsong and deer grazing in nearby fields. Sip your morning coffee with views of Holcombe Hill, then wander straight from the door onto scenic countryside trails, a dog walkers paradise. Watch steam trains chug through the village on the heritage East Lancashire Railway - a nostalgic treat for all ages. After browsing Ramsbottom’s quirky shops, wine bars, pubs, and cafés, head back to your cosy cottage, pour a glass of wine, and relax into Lancashire’s peaceful, timeless charm

The Annex - relax in quiet, charming setting.

The annex, detached from the main house, is set within a beautiful landscaped garden. The spacious bedroom has a double bed and a Smart TV (you will have access to Sky, Netflix, Apple+, Paramount) the bathroom has a walk-in shower. The separate living area has a dining table, sofa and small fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities, cutlery and crockery (for takeaways etc.) are provided. Parking is at the front or side of the house. There is access to strong WiFI . Pets are welcome.

The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top

The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top was newly built in 2019 on the ruins of an old barn and decorated to the highest standards of industrial chic. Situated in a most unique location, high on the Ribble Valley side of Lancashire’s iconic Pendle Hill, it sits surrounded by sheep pastures where hare and fox come to say good-night. Despite this rural idyll, we’re only a five minute car drive from Clitheroe, one of the North-West’s nicest market towns. The views will take your breath away!

A beautiful one bedroom self contained bungalow with private kitchen, bathroom/wet room, a comfortable lounge area with fold out futon and separate entrance. Set in a beautiful countryside location but within easy reach of the M6, M61 and M65. Local villages include Croston and Eccleston, perfect location to enjoy boutique shops and excellent home made food in the local pubs and restaurants. We politely request no additional visitors, just those staying. Strictly no smoking
