Our new renovated 85 square meter cottage is charming and welcoming, surrounded with beautiful Icelandic nature. The cottage is located at the top of the slope with a mountain, lake and woodland view. Direct access for nice hiking or romantic walk to the salmon river and the lake. It is close to many attractive destinations worth to visit. All beds are brand new and comfortable and heat in all floors. We wish our guests to feel like home and enjoy what the cottage and neigbourhood has to offer.

Whether admiring Northern Lights from the hot tub in winter or sipping wine on the patio in summer, our cozy wooden cabin is the perfect getaway for your stay in Iceland. The cabin is located in a beautiful and quiet surroundings with many opportunities for great hikes and other nature experiences all year round, not far from Reykjavík and only ten minutes drive from the town of Borgarnes. There you can find all essentials, visit museums and shops and indulge at our favorite café, Kaffi Kyrrð.

The Lake House is part of Hvammsvik Nature Resort & Hot Springs, a gated 1200 acre estate along the coast enjoying spectacular nature and views, only 40 min away from Reykjavik. Our cabin is a quiet cozy place. Located in Svarfhólsskógur in Hvalfjördur, only 45 minutes drive from the city. Beautiful views of mountains and woods all around the cabin. The area around the cabin is wooded with low growing birch trees typical of the Icelandic woods. As a base for sightseeing on the west coast this is a great location. Close to Snaefellsnes, and also the many sights in Borgarfjördur, waterfalls, glaciers, caves and much more. If you enjoy nature this is the place for you.

Quiet, Secluded Lake Home with Stunning Views

View the sunset over the lake or see the Aurora Borealis, when the conditions are right, from the deck wrapping around the house or even from the hot tub. This secluded home situated in a mountain valley offers wooden accents throughout, and comfortable Amenities. It feels far away from any city, and yet it is only 40 min drive from center Reykjavik. Many points of interest in the west and south of Iceland are within easy reach. Note there are 90km from Keflavik international airport.

Cool Cottage close to Reykjavík - hot tub

The cottage is located on a farm, Kalastadir, only 55 km from Reykjavik. It can house up to 6 people. It´s close to the sea and you can see the seals play along the shore. There is a free WIFI and on the veranda is a private hot tub where you can soak while enjoying the view. It´s close to Glymur, the tallest waterfall in Iceland and the shore where the seals are. Since there is no light polution here as in towns and Reykjavík, it´s a good place to watch the Northern Lights.

Our 78 square meter 1 bedroom cottage is located 50 minutes drive from Reykjavik. The cottage is luxurious and has an outdoor natural water hot tub from where you can enjoy the Northern Lights or the fantastic sunset. The living area and the balcony have a spectacular view overlooking the fjord and surrounding mountains. The cottage is a great base for day tours in the south or west of Iceland. Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir and Snæfells glacier are all within 1-2 hours’ drive.

Thirty min. from the capital plus nearby access routes to known Golden Circle from our cottage is ideal. The entire Hvalfjordur area is beautiful and magnificent in its own right and worth enjoying. The cabins are part of Hotel Hafnarfjall resort. In the cabins you can really feel the nature around. You have an exceptional view of the ocean and Hafnarfjall mountain on the other side. Borgarnes town is just across the bridge, where you can find restaurants and supermarket. Breakfast is not included in the price and it's additionally paid in the hotel reception.
