You will be a 15 minute walk down the road to the ocean and the Buttereau swimming spot, and the infamous Aucoin's Bakery is just a hop, skip and jump away.

Explorer's Cottage provides a country experience on 150 wooded acres, with a private beach, a botanical park-like forest, bird watching, an orchard, a Japanese meditation garden, library, paved pathways, and a hiking path, all with a refined interior. Wild Rose Cottage

This cottage is centrally located between Baddeck, Inverness and Cheticamp. It is approximately 30 min each way. It features a lovely, large back yard with firepit area and mountain views. The Portree bridge is a short walk down the road, which is a popular swimming spot. The river runs along the opposite side of the road. There are lots of local beaches, hiking trails and golf courses in the area. The property also has direct access to the highland snowmobile/atv trails.
