It's a 10 minute drive from the bustling town of Westport. This house is unique and is located on the shoreline of Clew Bay in the Carrowholly area. Close by is Rosmoney pier where Adventure Islands adventure center, fishing tours and Mayo sailing center operate from. Westport golf club, Carrowholly stables and Trekking are close by.

Surrounded by excellent coastal and hill walking terrain, it is also a 10 minute drive from the Wild Atlantic Way, the town of Westport and the Great Western Greenway. It is a bright, comfortable and contemporary home. The house is set in beautiful semi-wild gardens with views of Croagh Patrick, Ireland's holy mountain. With all modern facilities, it includes an outdoor patio and a barbeque area beside the sea.

The mezzanine bedroom boasts a kingsize sleigh bed , overlooking a cosy sitting room with a wood-burning stove for warming your hands and feet after a walk on the beach or a dip in the sea. For small families the sofa in the sitting room converts into a comfortable single bed. This tastefully restored formed Sheep Farmer's cottage is ideal base for your visit to Donegal. Located on the Wild Atlantic Way just outside the village of Kilcar with Sleive League to the West and Killybegs and Donegal town to the south. This is an ideal place to settle into for a night or two and return to each evening after visiting the beautiful Donegal countryside. There are wonderful views from the cottage of Sleive League (Sliabh Liag) beyond.

Lighthouse keepers; Home of the year finalist

Welcome to the lighthouse keepers house! We have been voted as one of Ireland’s top 50 places to stay by the Irish Independent #Fab50 ( number 26 :)) We spent two years renovating this 200 year old building. In May 2020, it featured on RTE Home of the year and became a finalist in the top 7 homes in Ireland. Irish lights built all 76 lighthouses & keepers houses in Ireland, and this is the only lighthouse keepers house in a town in Ireland!
