The rustic historical hostel hotel was originally built to house male workers and Al Capone's finest gentlemen. It sits on 15 acres,having its own private peninsula on the Michigamme River. You can fish from the shore or kayak the river. We are located at the trail head of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail,central to all trail systems in the Upper Peninsula. Within walking distance is a small grocery store, bar with bands and cafe. Hike or ride the trails. Enjoy the beauty of the Upper Peninsula.

We are surrounded by wildlife and water. The cell service and wifi are iffy. The rooms are sparsely furnished but have either a queen or full sized bed. The bathrooms are modern but shared. The large upper veranda surrounds the entire lodge. It has a great view of the river and is extremely relaxing to sit and enjoy the outdoors. There is an LP firepit for the chilly nights. We also have portable firepits if you would rather have a fire down by the beach/river side. Unplug and enjoy!

You can fish from the shore or kayak the river. We are located at the trail head of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. There is a bar with live bands and a small convenience store one block away. Two blocks away is a restaurant with American cuisine. Park your vehicle and enjoy the great outdoors.

Featuring two Double-size beds, Cabin 1 can accommodate up to four guests. Plus, guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, cable TV, comfortable couch, Air Conditioning, and a spacious eating area.
