Mattie’s House 17 Ardview

Mattie’s house is in the village of Port Ellen,very central 5 minutes to the ferry port and minutes to the sandy beach.There are shops and hotels and distilleries all within walking distance,if you are coming by car there is on street parking and if you are coming by public transport the bus stop is meters away,please be aware we are in a residential area.The house has one double bedroom,one twin,living room,kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower,there is oil central heating in the property.

Beach at the bottom of the garden at the substantial character home that is Traigh Bheag East - a colourful mixture of old/new-NOT a sleek purpose built holiday house-on the Scottish Island of Islay. 10 (and rising!) single malt whisky distilleries, festivals, walking, cycling, birdwatching/wildlife, music and a safe beach with uninterrupted views of the Antrim coast. Complimentary staples; Starter pack includes coal/logs; all linens (inc towels) provided. Oil fired central heating/open fires.

Beautiful granny flat with sea views, terrace, well-equipped kitchen and en-suite bathroom for up to 3 people. Unfortunately not suitable for dogs and small children. A further 3 rooms located in the main house can be additionally booked on Airbnb, also to provide a second bathroom. Please let me know via Airbnb Messenger who will be arriving and when so I can prepare the rooms. The sofa bed is a “small double” (1.20 m wide) and only suitable for one person, skinny couples or 2 children.

The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

Bruichladdich Cottage

Bruichladdich cottage is situated on the seafront in the village of Bruichladdich overlooking Lochindaal and a few minutes walk from the famous Bruichladdich distillery. It has uninterrupted views across Lochindaal to the Paps of Jura and the Mull of Oa There is a grocery store and coffee shop two doors away and the pebble and sand beaches are in front of the cottage. Bruichladdich is two miles from Port Charlotte, a lovely walk along the new coastal walk and cycle path.

Remote beachside cabin on the Islay coast

A remote cabin on the Islay coast, reached by farm track and across the dunes — genuinely wild, genuinely beautiful, and unlike anything else on the island. Light the wood-burning stove and spend evenings with no noise but the waves and birds. The surrounding dunes and coastline teem with wildlife. No internet connection. That's rather the point.

26 Shore Street - Sea Front House in Bowmore

26 Shore Street is close to the centre of Bowmore, right in the heart of Islay. The house sits overlooking the harbour and backs onto the beach which is accessed at the end of the terrace. Nearby there are hotels, restaurants, shops and Bowmore Distillery. Parking is free on the street outside.
