This "farmhouse" style cottage is typical of homestead homes in the area. This is a modest historic home that began as a school house. Kadoka is a safe, quiet ranching community on the edge of the Badlands and I90. You will be 20 miles from the entrance to the Badlands National Park, 35 miles from Wall drug and 90 Miles from the Black Hills & Rapid City. This is a small community ( pop700 ). Late in the day or weekends can be very sleepy, limited amenities, but no traffic! Safe for solo.

Comfy Western Style Rustic Tiny Bunk House

Before there were tiny houses, there were bunkhouses. This is a one room cabin style space with the bath providing a partial wall separating the bunks and kitchen. The western touches and wood ceiling in this tiny bunkhouse create a cozy getaway. It is the perfect stop and stay while exploring the Badlands National park . There are 3 campsites next to the bunkhouse, between the bunkhouse and hwy 73. There may be travelers coming thru or local workers as neighbors. Window AC in the summer.

Lakota Outfitters

Located on the eastern side of the Pine Ridge Reservation Enjoy the great outdoors while staying in a seclude home enjoy a campfire outside or take a hunting trip with locally owned Lakota Outfitters enjoy. Enjoy time with family and friends with no cell service or satellite tv to interrupt. 4x4 vehicle must be used to reach location. Just 15 miles south of interstate 90 come stay with locals who've lived in the Badlands since the old days. Our ranch borders Badlands National Park just 6 miles to the main visitors center. The 4-bedroom 2 bath bunkhouse sits high atop our butte overlooking the Badlands where it's peaceful, private, quiet and has spectacular views in all directions. This listing is for the entire Bunkhouse (sleeping up to 8) however we do rent these rooms individually under the listing "Badlands Bunks".

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind South Dakota stay in our custom, fully furnished grain bins. One bin features a spiral staircase leading to a queen bed, while the connected bin offers a second bedroom with a queen bed and twin bunk beds. Also a futon and 2 single fold out beds. All tastefully decorated in western theme. Come for a couple of nights or relax for a week! There is a Subway restaurant and two small cafes in town for the hungry or take a picnic to the Badlands after shopping at the local grocery store or Dollar General. All businesses close fairly early.

Located a short drive west of Interior and just 6 miles from the headquarters of Badlands National Park, this 1950’s house sits on a working cattle ranch. It is a peaceful location that provides the opportunity to be away from the noise of fellow travelers while still being very close to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, and also an easy drive to Wall and Rapid City. This house also provides great views of the Prarie and the wide open sky that accompanys it!
