This charming cottage was built in 1837 as the original firehouse of Harper's Ferry. The town square is outside your front door, and it is a short walk to the National Historical Park, restaurants, cafes, and shopping. A perfect blend of location and history, the cottage has many modern updates including queen size bed, pull out couch, fast WIFI, washer/dryer, smart tv, and a secure shed for bike storage. Ladder in the kitchen leads to locked storage area. Living space is all on the first floor.

Offers an expansive pergola deck with outdoor dining and lounge seating as well as a gas grill. The 3-acre lot provides space for playing yard games and offers a super firepit by a bold stream at the back of the property. Many wineries, breweries, historic sites, and outdoor recreation are very close by.

C&O Canal/Potomac River Lock Keepers Cottage

Located just steps away from Dam #4 on the C&O Canal / Potomac River. (marker 84.6) Perfect for a getaway or romantic weekend. Hike/bike the C&O Canal, bring your kayak/canoe/bikes, fish or swim in the river. Sit on the porch and listen to the rumble of the water falling over the dam. Local lore is this was the home of a canal lock keeper or the gate house keeper. Secluded location away from town. NOT A PARTY HOUSE/owner on site in garage apartment. Inquire if a blocked day is available.
