This great new solar home is located just 2 miles north of downtown Hilo while sitting on quiet acreage in a gated community overlooking the Hilo Bay and Coconut Island and 5 miles to the airport. The perfect balance of being in the country and close to everything! We are close to black sand beaches, surf, botanical gardens and waterfalls! The Hilo farmers market is 2 miles away! Come and relax in the hammock on the lanai with tropical breezes! (Please note there are entry stairs)

Welcome to Hilo Hale. We designed and built this house around the panoramic view of Hilo Bay and included all the amenities we would expect when traveling. The fastest available 100mbps wifi that covers the entire property, quiet air conditioning in every bedroom\living space, washing machine and dryer, smartTVs with Netflix, Keurig Coffee Maker and much more. Hilo Hale is the house we dreamed of staying at when we travel, and we are very excited to be able to share it with you and your family.

Bamboo Bungalow

Our slice of paradise sits on 1 acre of manicured tropical orchard with over 40 varieties of fruit trees, a giant stand of bamboo, hundreds of orchids and herbs. Newly constructed unattached studio cottage with canopy queen size bed and super comfortable full size futon. Indoor bath with shower and outdoor bamboo shower. Brand new kitchen and an adorable lanai for enjoying the panoramic view of sunset or morning coffee. Our teak swing above the cottage offers a horizon view of the ocean.

NEW 2 bedroom hosted Tranquil Island Getaway

Enjoy up country Hilo at it's finest with a new, private home in a gated community. Our 1500' elevation makes a perfect cool, peaceful evening respite after a day of beach going, hiking at Volcano National Park and enjoying Hilo's dining and entertainment. The property features a distant ocean view, many fruit trees, aquaponics, gardens, plenty of animals including dogs, Angus cows, chickens and a macaw named Li'i! Interacting with the animals on our ranch is part of the property's charm.

Butterfly Suite

The Butterfly Suite is perfectly located for easy access to the Hilo airport, downtown Hilo shops and restaurants, Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, Richardson's and Honoli'i beaches for snorkeling and surfing, Rainbow and Akaka Falls, Kaumana Caves, Boiling Pots, Hawai'i Botanical Garden, Lili'uokalani Gardens and more local attractions. With its breezy, comfortable atmosphere the Butterfly Suite is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and small families looking for a getaway in paradise.

Cozy Hilo Studio

Cheerful and bright, this studio is located on first floor of 2 story home. Studio guests will have the downstairs to themselves. Your Host lives upstairs. The studio has a private entrance and on site parking for 1 car. A full private bathroom is adjacent to the studio. Wifi and workspace suitable for remote working.Guests can access a large downstair's lanai with tropical gardens and an ocean view. A perfect place to relax Hawaiian style! Washer and Dryer available ($5 per load).

This location is ideal for a visit to Hawaii Island's lush tropical east side. Close to all the amenities of town, yet secluded enough to only hear the sounds of nature. Located in a quiet secluded neighborhood at a cool elevation minutes from beautiful waterfalls and downtown Hilo, where you can shop the famous Hilo Farmers Market. Come relax and unwind in your private tropical jungle oasis after a day of hiking and exploring all that Hawaii Island's east side has to offer.

Country Guest Home

(REF TAX ID TA005-218-0480-01) Enjoy time in a small (384 sq ft) self-contained guest shack with full kitchen in a rural setting. If you don't find the sound of coqui frogs at night obtrusive to your sleep, then this space would be suitable. While you will have privacy, my dad stays in the main house in case you need assistance in person. We are located at about 100 foot of elevation which provides for relatively cooler nights.
