Highfield cottage is a stone-built house on a hill at Hillhouse Farm Escapes in the Scottish Borders. This old shepherd's house is renovated to a modern & cosy standard. It has a superb kitchen with range cooker and large dining table, a huge lounge and two generous bedrooms (one is en-suite). Best of all is the stunning rural location with incredible views. It's an easy one-mile walk to a pub. Dog friendly. The house next door, a Little House on the Hill (Herniecleugh), is also available.

We are within half an hour's drive from the beach and railway stations. You’ll love Stichill Stables because of the views and the peaceful location. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers who have their car. We can also accommodate a child / third person if required. We are in a fairly rural location, the nearest shops, bars and restaurants being approximately four miles away in the town of Kelso in the Scottish Borders.

Perhaps the most ideal holiday cottage in the whole of the Scottish Borders. Situated in a perfect location with one foot close to the hustle and bustle of the heritage town of Hawick and the other with unbridled access to the beautiful Wilton Lodge Park.
