It's a historic place as there is an old temple situated , Manthara Sree Krishna swami temple is well known to pilgrims. The beach is just behind the temple. Varkala papanasam beach , Cliffs and the Edava - Kappil beach and backwater are a couple of km away from here. In back water boating facilities are available.
