The cottage also offers the ultimate in relaxation with the recent addition of two side-by-side outdoor baths. Wind down with a hot soak at the end of your day this private space is exclusively yours to enjoy. Add a basket of local provisions and discover local treasures.

Pukeko Refuge

This is a lovely large quiet and tranquil separate unit with a new bathroom. A small stream gurgles alongside enjoyed by pukekoes and eels. We want you to enjoy the birdlife, therefore we have food for you to feed the fantails, eels and pukekoes. A Gazebo over looking the stream to watch the pukeko playing, maybe enjoying a glass of wine. The unit has a microwave, fridge and toaster sofa, table and chairs for you to enjoy "home away from it all". Very safe off street parking

Just minutes to Tutukaka Marina (dive trips to the Poor Knights Islands, restaurants) and some of Northland’s best beaches, but also close to Whangarei attractions. Great kayaking on the mangrove-clad tidal river.

Nearby Coastal walks provide access to some of the most picturesque and deserted beaches in Northland.

Rose's Cottage

A self contained cottage. 1 minute walk from a long, white sand popular surf beach and 2 minutes to a beautiful tidal estuary. The cottage is behind my house in a semi tropical lush garden. Pataua is a perfect place for walking, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking or just relaxing. The garden is fenced so safe for babies and children or a small dog. My small dogs Ody and Tom share the garden. They are full of life but super friendly and gentle.

Rosehill Lodge (Kowhai Apartment)

If you are looking for a private, quiet retreat that is ten minutes walk to the city centre and Town Basin with it's Cafes Restaurants and Galleries, then this Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place for you.
