Pillar Rock Cannery Escape (Chinook House)

Relax and soak in the views at this tranquil River front getaway on the banks of the beautiful Columbia River! The Chinook is a small, cozy 100 year old renovated house nestled in amongst the trees! Activities include walking the beach, swimming, fishing, hiking, games, hammocks, cannery tours etc. The beach approach is shared with the Coho Cabin located 100 yards away with wooded area in between. Many guests say their only regret was not staying longer! Hope you choose the Chinook.

We’ve upgraded our cottage but it still has that cozy cabin feel that guests love. Private trail across street is a 5 min. walk to the beach. Large backyard with firepit, horseshoes & chairs. Enjoy a break with an evening fire or Netflix movie (Roku smart TV). Log wood/open beams interior with AC/Heat from new mini-split. Comfortably sleeps 3 adults/3-4 children. Cute cottage in the woods that’s a 25-min walk (10 min drive) to Copalis Beach. Perfect for families and/or friends happy to get cozy. One bedroom with queen mattress downstairs and the loft upstairs has one full bed, a futon, and mats (max occupancy 4). Many kitchen tools. Welcome to Snowy Owl Cottage. The Cottage is the perfect getaway to enjoy the ocean up close and personal. Snowy Owls are native to the Arctic but have been seen visiting our area. Beach access at Damon Point is currently closed as the city is repairing erosion damage from the 2024 king tides. Attempting to access could result in fines for trespassing. A reopen date is pending.
