The Sassafras Breeze

The Sassafras is our most private cabin. Secluded at the end of a driveway, it is surrounded by nature. One can hear the mountain streams from the large, covered porch. The furnishings are appropriately rustic yet modern in every since of the word. Free, dependable, high-speed, fiber internet and a smart TV are just two of the recent upgrades. In winter enjoy the floor to ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace. Hike to a mountain top or visit a rushing stream...all without leaving the property.

Welcome to our creekside cabin in a cozy mountain setting! Be surrounded by nature, relaxing on your private wrap around porch while listening to nothing but the sounds of a rushing stream. If you’re looking for adventure, our cabin is in a fantastic, centralized location to white water rafting, hiking trails including the Appalachian Trail, Smoky Mountain National Park, and Harrah’s Casino. Also enjoy the creekside nature path located on the property! Truly an ideal retreat anytime of the year.

Timberwood Cottage, located in Gorgeous Nantahala!

Pictures do not do this little peace of Heaven justice. It is so adorable, with 20 ft ceilings it is very spacious and open. The wood burning fireplace makes it for very cozy evening along with the firepit outside and a little soak in the Hot tub to finish off a great night.This little gem is centrally located in Nantahala with tons of activities, such as fishing, hiking, rafting, boating and skiing on Lake Nantahala. We are open! Sit in the rockers with your morning coffee, eat your meals at the kitchen table or sit in front of the fireplace all while enjoying the amazing view! The hot tub is located on the deck overlooking the beautiful Mountain View. We are just 20 minutes away from Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 10 minutes from Tsali Recreation, 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee and The Blue Ridge Parkway. There is a book in the cabin with other recommendations

We can't adequately describe how peaceful it is to sit at the picnic table & listen to the wind through the trees or the birds serenade as the sky turns pink & purple over the Smoky Mountains. We purposely tucked our adorable Tiny Home into the woods to achieve the peaceful retreat you're looking for. You'll feel like the "Little Red Riding Hood" skipping through the woods as you escape the "Big Bad Wolf" of technology and stress. Evenings around the Firepit w/the stars are simply magical!

Otter Creek School Farm

Enjoy our 50-acre paradise in the Nantahala Forest. The cottage, a modular home, overlooks our horse pastures and Otter Creek. Enjoy 4 miles of forested trails, 3,000 feet along Otter Creek, a historic barn, wildlife, and native plants. The rhythm is set by the horses, the flow of the creek and the ever-changing view of nature around you. We're near mountain and river adventures, and 20 - 45 minutes from tourist towns. We are not a fancy mountain cabin but you'll be amazed by the destination.

The Bothy - 28 acre private retreat

This custom designed, modern cabin is made for connecting with nature in comfort. The cabin sits by itself on 28 private acres with meadows, forest, a small creek, and trails. You have privacy and space to wander and are still just 15 minutes to town, 10 minutes to Lake Santeetlah, and 1 mile off the Cherohala Skyway. A Bothy is a Scottish term for a small simple farm building that travelers can shelter in. The cabin and land are a perfect place to relax in the Appalachian mountains.

Enjoy , ping pong, fire pit, porch swing. 13miles to Andrews or NOC, for closest grocery store, pubs, restaurants. I do NOT allow pets due to allergies. No smoking inside of cabin. outside smoking ok. You will have a wonderful,private, relaxing time at my cabin. extra parking for boat, etc.

You can spend all your time relaxing at the cabin however, you are only 10 minutes to Tsali or the Nantahala Outdoor Center and only 15 minutes to Bryson City.

In cooler weather, snuggle up by the fire with a good book. Lake Santeetlah is nestled in the mountains of NC, and 80% of the coastline is national forest.
