Red Cottage

Your stay at Red Cottage will be comfortable, easily accessible, and minutes away from Canton, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley. The circa 1950’s Cottage is fully renovated inside and out. Beautiful front porch and lovely sitting area in the rear of the Cottage. We are climate controlled with a mini split HVAC to keep you toasty warm in spring, fall, and winter and comfortably cool in the summer. Internet access and TVs in the living room and master bedroom. Washer and dryer included. Welcome!

We are located 40 miles from the Asheville airport; a short drive to the ski resort, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Harrah's Casino and Biltmore Estate. Hiking, biking and tubing are nearby. Relax on the two porches or grill out near the fire pit. Spacious kitchen for family meals; bathrooms on both levels and several gathering areas. Cozy up to the gas fireplace (seasonal) or enjoy a puzzle in the nook. Easy access, 14-50 EV plug.

The Water Wheel is our place to unplug and detox from the hustle and bustle of life. When we are not here enjoying this space we want to share it with you. Imagine yourself lounging by our fire pit with a local brew or taking in the mountain views from the hot tub then creating an amazing meal. Detox in our cedar sauna after a long hike. Or if you are exploring the area then it is the perfect home base for adventures in the mountains or to Asheville for breweries, dining or shopping.

Come and enjoy a getaway at the beautifully decorated home with a game/bar room basement. Gather together or space out in the large home with two living spaces and wet bar. Situated a 1/2 mile walk from Lake Junaluska itself, enjoy the beautiful mountain views from two decks, peaks of the Lake Junaluska Golf Course and all the amentiies the community has to offer.
