Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Nature’s Nest

Unwind and immerse yourself in nature at this cozy cabin overlooking Timber Coulee Creek. Large living room windows and a spacious deck provide you with a bird’s eye view of the rippling river and many types of wild life. Deer amble through the property; eagles soar and keep an eagle eye on everything. Turkeys, squirrels, coons, and myriad of birds go about their business in this serene environment. Trout fishing is an excellent pastime for those who care to cast a line. Rest, at Nature’s Nest.

Build a warm fire outdoors/ warm up by the gas stove indoors, or go down to the stream for a sauna by the cool water creek.

The remains of an old farmhouse now welcome our guests to a warm, secure, escape from the everyday. This secluded space is the perfect place to relax in the woods.​ With no TV and large windows looking out over the lake, the focus is on the outdoors. Despite the remote location, a high-speed internet connection is available to keep you connected throughout your stay. ​

Enjoy a weekend off the grid in our rustic cabin on 30 acres of wooded serenity. Watch the sunset on the covered porch, or relax around a campfire. Our quaint log cabin overlooks a small pond and is situated on 40 acres of woodland; the only other development on the property is a charming farmhouse down the lane (our home). Cozy up with a good book next to the wood-burning stove. Watch the local wildlife from a rocking chair on the covered porch. Gaze at the stars on a clear night. Visit nearby trout streams, antique stores, and local sights, then come back to this simple, well-appointed respite in the woods.
