Our cottage sits above Lake Washington with a beautiful water view. A peaceful respite, yet so close to the city. You can barbeque on the deck and watch the boats go by as ospreys fish in the little marina just below. Walk or ride bikes along Lake Wa. Blvd. to Seward Park offering its old-growth forest and pretty lakeside loop just one mile away. A short walk takes you to coffee shops and vibrant Columbia City is just 1.4 miles away with a convenient light rail station in the center of town.

A relaxing 20-minute ferry trip from West Seattle or Water Taxi from downtown Seattle brings you to your own private cozy, Studio cottage with sweeping views of the Sound. Watch the ferries go by, relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over the Olympic mountains, kayaking, a forest hiking trail with sea and Mount Rainier views, beach walks, and downtown Vashon (less than 10 mins away!). Please note: The parking lot is a few minute walk from the cottage.

Originally built in 1956 and fully remodeled in 2015, our studio delivers "retreat vibes". The entire east wall is floor-to-ceiling windows with views that peek through trees and show glimpses of Lake Washington. Sunrises can be enjoyed from bed, or experience total blackout with floor to ceiling vertical blinds. Cozy queen bed featuring an organic mattress with an Avocado topper and linens. Full kitchen with brand new appliances, big walk-in shower with a luxurious steamer. W/D included.

Quiet Lakeside Retreat #1 - Master Suite

Quiet retreat in the woods, on the shore of Ames Lake. Watch eagles and osprey with your morning coffee. Toast marshmallows after sundown at the beach. Close to Redmond, Seattle and the mountains, the Master Suite features a private deck, antique furniture and a luxurious clawfoot tub. You'll find destination Mountain Bike trails just up the road, excellent restaurants a quick drive away, and Ames Lake, one of King County's most pristine, just down the stairs. No smoking.
