Our camp is off road, off grid, on the edge of the BWCA. 2 cabins, sauna, outdoor kitchen pavilion, fire pit, beach and dock on Fall Lake near Ely. 20 minutes to town, 3 million acres of wilderness out the door. Fish, canoe, swim, explore woods and lakes. Spend your time here or use as basecamp for backcountry trips. See deer, eagles, loons, moose, bear, or hear a wolf howl in the distance. LED lanterns, propane cookstoves and refrigeration, get water from lake, or nearby well. Life on the edge.

The cabin is located on 3 acres with two other cabins that are rentals and a home that we live in. There are three large docks with boat parking for guests and power. It is about 25 steps down to the lake so we do not recommend staying here if you have mobility issues and want to get to the lake. There is a private fire pit just for this cabin as well as a shared fire pit at the beach. Due to the three rental cabins on one large property it is common to have kids playing and people walking aroun

The Wandering Moose -Cabin Getaway, with Sauna!

This cabin was built for family gatherings and a recreational retreat and has been in the family for years. We offer a place to sleep 4 with a pull-out couch, full kitchen, bar area, dining table and a small bathroom with a shower and sink. We also have an outside hydrant to rinse off your equipment or clean your fish and game. Be on the lookout for Moose, Deer, Bear, Fox, Grouse, and many of birds and listen for an occasional Timber Wolf in the night. Trailer parking is onsite.

Ely Log Cabin is open-concept and sleeps up to 6. Stairs to sleeping loft are not safe for kids ages 1-5 or elderly folks. We do have a comfy pullout couch on main level. Max of 2 dogs allowed. Please read the PETS section below before booking. Ely Log Cabin is an off-grid solar powered cabin tucked into the woods on 40 acres. Enjoy out-the-door hiking and star gazing. Enjoy the beauty of northern MN in this rustic and cozy cabin right on Shagawa lake. Great fishing and close enough to town for easy access to restaurants and shops. Great walleye fishing in the bay directly in front of the cabin. Fishing boat and kayak on site. The cabin is an open concept format. The lower bedrooms require descending 2 steps.
