This magical treehouse was built by Pete Nelson 25 years ago and recently renovated with help from his crew. It sits in living trees on our 5 acre property next to its own little pond and fountain. It has a bathroom with sink and toilet, hot water outdoor shower, wifi, heat, AC & more! Enjoy the outdoor space with, hammocks, grill and fire pit by the pond. It's 1 mile from Lake Alice so grab the paddle boards and head to the lake! Plus, book a sound healing or sacred ceremony while you're here!

 Adventure Awaits at  Off-Grid Tiny Cabin!  Tucked beside the Cedar River Trail, this hideaway is perfect for biking, hiking, and peaceful escapes. Short walk to river views via the public trail (not riverfront). 2 queen beds + 1 twin bed (bring your own bedding). Wall outlet for charging a phone or two. Spacious site with room for an extra tent. Large fire pit all-wheel drive or 4x4 highly recommended. Good to Know: There is a home about 100 ft. up the hill, within sight of the cabin.

Africa in Auburn - Treehouse

Our tree-house, built by Pete Nelson of Treehouse Masters, aired as the African Safari Hut. The professionally designed interior is filled with African artifacts. It was designed to be a writer's cottage for Skeeter who is an author and an African historian. Skeeter and Jacque love having guests stay at the treehouse, especially writers and artists looking for a retreat to work on their craft. With few exceptions, the treehouse is available for stays of 2 to 5 days.
