Welcome to Nyota ya Amani, a calm, breezy and private two bedroom apartment in Shela, Lamu. A 3 min walk to the seafront and 5 min walk to the beach. It is spacious with open dune views and a private balcony. Our housekeeper/chef prepares customised meals and assists with cooking, cleaning and laundry at no extra charge. We have a firm orthopedic mattress, cotton sheets, four pillows, a fitted net and cotton towels. We assist you to plan island activities and arrange airport or mainland pickup.

Surrounded by century old baobabs, Nyumba Kiru is a stunning villa facing the ocean. Our house can welcome large group (14 pax) or just a couple for a romantic weekend. We rent out the whole house from 2 to 14 pax so you will never have to share with anyone. Nyumba Kiru has a pool, dining areas, bar, kitchen, umbrella and sun bed around the pool and on the beach. Wifi access and TV/DVD system. The house runs on solar system and generator.

A rustic beach house, Robinson Crusoe style. At the southern tip of Lamu Island, the house faces the Indian Ocean as it rolls in along a great stretch of empty beach. An absolutely perfect place for simply doing nothing, one can nevertheless also lie on the beach, float out to sea or take long walks across the island. Lamu, centuries old, and the most ancient Swahili settlement on the East African coast, is just a 30 minute boat ride away.

Set along Usita wa Mui, the main street of Lamu Old Town, this flat is the first project of a graduate architect and artist (the host himself). Housed in a 700-year-old Swahili home, it combines history, craftsmanship, and art. The space doubles as a working studio and small gallery with mixed-media works. Facing the lively street, it carries the hum of daily life and stories below — a true immersion into the spirit and creativity of Lamu.
