Find your home away from home in our quaint cottage nestled between the River Barrow and The Grand Canal. Take a stroll or cycle along the famous 46km stretch of The Barrow Blueway or cast your fishing rod into the world of coarse fishing on the Grand Canal. Why not take a walk into town across the Aqueduct and visit some of our favourites such as Mooneys & Brennans or snuggle up to a log burning stove. The local Kids playground is a 5 minute stroll away should the kids need some play time.

Oldmills Cottage - Comfortable Retreat

Oldmills Cottage offers an ideal getaway for family and friends. This traditional 270+ year old cottage has been beautifully renovated into a modern and cosy retreat set in the tranquil settings of County Laois. Besides traditional features and a wood burning stove, it offers all modern conveniences' including Wi-Fi. Oldmills is perfectly located to enjoy the countryside, as well as the many outdoor activities on offer and is in easy reach to Dublin. You will need your own form of transport.

Located 5 minutes from heritage town Abbeyleix in co. Laois is Villa Jokubas a log cabin village set on a hill overlooking surrounding countryside. All our cabins combine modern finishes and rustic county charms. Be treated with all modern luxuries inside and outside, enjoy expansive yard, covered patio areas with private modern hot tubs, "Kamado" BBQ grills, fully stocked bar with taps of our home brewed IPA beer. Warm up by the fireplace in the inviting living room, where you can curl up with a good book or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV.

Located halfway between Portlaoise and Kilkenny, this is the ideal spot to stop and relax in the scenic countryside while touring the many local attractions. The fact that we are in The Midlands, makes it's the perfect location to visit other counties from, as everywhere is within only a few hours drive. Enjoy a break away from it all, a 10 minute drive from Stradbally Co Laois - An Scioból is a converted farmyard building situated in peaceful countryside, offering comfortable and quiet accommodation. Located in rural Co. Laois, it is 10 minutes drive from the village of Stradbally (of Electric Picnic fame!) and 25 minutes drive from Carlow or Portlaoise. Athy is 15 minutes away and Dublin is 1hr 15.
