The Depot at Mad Peak Lodging offers a cozy railroad themed space where you can experience the beautiful Black Hills and yet have easy access to the major route to both Deadwood and Mount Rushmore, among many others. With the forest as a backyard, you can ride directly from your front door on UTV or the snowmobile trails, we have plenty of parking for your trailers. This is the original carriage house from 1892 that has been converted into living quarters with a small fenced in outdoor space. The cozy cottage is made up of two levels. On the floor level, is a small kitchen, bathroom, and sitting area with gas fire place (love seat pulls out to a single bed). On the second level, via a narrow steep hayloft staircase, is a king bed, tv, and private balcony. This quaint space is the perfect get away.

Swisher Farmhouse at Granny Flats

This beautiful 3-acre property, once the Swisher Farm, is today a working homestead, with dozens of chickens and a large garden. This quiet oasis is located within the city of Spearfish. We have another rental on the property that was built by Cappie, co-host of Building Outside the Lines on Magnolia Network, as his own residence. This adorable off-grid cottage is handmade, from the bespoke front door to the custom 2-headed shower.
