Tyas Cottage

Tyas Cottage is located in a small hamlet within the idyllic local beauty spot of Merrydale, on the site of the first water-powered mill in the Colne Valley, near Slaithwaite and 7 miles from Huddersfield. Apart from sound of falling water, the property is quiet and rural. It is at the end of a steep and ancient cobbled packhorse route. We are able to keep this accessible in the winter. Our guests seem to particularly enjoy the quiet, secluded, location and numerous lovely local walks.

The house is tastefully decorated, creating a warm & welcoming atmosphere. The log burners in the kitchen and living room, coupled with numerous TVs & boardgames make for relaxing cosy nights in.

Located close to the Royal Armouries at Leeds Dock. The area surrounding the apartment is full of life with numerous restaurants including Mumtaz and Pizza Express, a delightful coffee shop (North Star) and The Canary bar with a roof terrace that sits over the dock. Leeds Dock hosts many events and festivals throughout the year.
