The Cottage

Unplug in this peaceful little getaway. Nestled in the backyard of our little hobby farm near the Wood River, you will be able to visit our alpacas, goat, or honey bees. Sit and relax on the porch, or stroll through the pasture or neighborhood. In many ways, the cottage resembles a tiny house with a small bathroom & shower, kitchen sink, microwave, induction hot plate, coffee maker, plates, glasses & utensils. Many of the restaurants & shopping amenities are located on the north end of Kearney.

Nautical Nest

Welcome to our Family Lake House Retreat, located on Johnson Lake where you can relax, have fun and seek adventure. A newly renovated home, waiting for your family to enjoy the backyard. Sit under the covered seating area and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner and then relax by the firepit and enjoy the stars. The walking path and playground are both within walking distance and just a few minutes to the public dock and rental store for bikes, jet skis and boats. A perfectly located get away!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful quiet country home. The basement apartment provides large families a great alternative to hotel rooms, comfortably sleeping two to six people. The property features dedicated parking with stairs to a walk out private entry. Custom art greets you and flows throughout the apartment. Full kitchen is ready for cooking. Bathroom with tub/shower includes washer & dryer. Enjoy the games, books, toys, backyard play center, private patio, and walking trails.

The Nest

The Nest is an upstairs mini apartment in a building on a working bison ranch. The decor is birds, flowers, nature. The windows look out over the pastures. The bathroom features a shower and small clothes washer. The kitchenette area includes hot drink dispenser, microwave, toaster oven, and mini fridge. A cot and portable crib are available on request. Breakfast snacks and coffee are included in the room rate. Covid concerns: you will be the only occupants in the building overnight.

The River House

Come explore the great outdoors when you stay at the river house and enjoy the quiet as you look over the South Loup River Valley. There is river access for all kinds of water fun from tubing, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. You can enjoy evening sunsets out on the covered front porch or setup your telescope for some amazing star gazing with no light pollution. The fiber optic connection makes it easy to use your smart devices for entertainment or setup a mobile office to work remotely.

Relax with the family in our conveniently located home. We purchased and remodeled this 1930's bungalow keeping as many original features as possible. What started out as hobby, paired with Gothenburg's need for affordable lodging, has blossomed into a way for us to raise a little extra money for our daughters college fund. We are located just four miles from top ranked Wild Horse Golf Club, two blocks from Highway 30, one mile from Interstate 80, and three blocks from historic downtown.

The Storybook Cottage

It’s a Storybook Cottage in a storybook town. This quaint cottage is ready for overnight visitors in Gothenburg, Nebraska, a small town in the heart of the country. This cozy home has an open feel and two spacious bedrooms. Step into the house with an inviting fireplace and a quiet sunroom. You are within walking distance to three parks, Lake Helen, and downtown. A mile north of town is the Wild Horse Golf Course giving golfers links on rolling hills and wild grasses.

The Shop House

Finally, somewhere to stay in Bertrand Nebraska - Unique property. It is a shop house (or Barndominium). loft-style living room over 2 bedrooms, one bath. Living room seats 12, dining table sits 8+2 at the island. The rest of the building is the owners own space, but can be utilized if there is a need. Options for washer & dryer + second bathroom are available. Great for family gatherings or visits, executive overnights, hunting or whatever brings you to town.

The Montclair is a one bedroom townhome at Element 30 that provides a private living experience. This three level home allows you more space and opportunity to make the place your own. Element 30 is in University Village, a neighborhood adjacent to the state’s historic Highway 30 and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Element 30 invites guests into unexpected and comfortable luxury. With high ceilings, the open spaces say, “welcome home.”
