We got a lot of walking and cycle routes right next tonthe cottage. Newcastle City and Durham City is about 15 minutes from the property. Grange Cottage

The Grange is a very large cottage which can now sleep up to 11 people in four bedrooms. Over the last few months, we have done a lot of work to upgrade this cottage. We have replaced the main bathroom, and fitted a new kitchen (now with a dishwasher !!) Originally, this was 2 cottages, and we have now repurposed the second living room to be another double bedroom. If you have a large group of people, there is another table and more chairs in the cottage.

Beamish Stay - 3 minute drive from Beamish Museum

Beamish museum is located less than a 5 minute drive away. The South Causey is also located less than a 5 minute drive away. Durham city centre is a 15 minute drive away. Newcastle city centre is a 15 minute drive away. The Hilltop pub & restaurant is 1 minute walk from the property. The C2C cycle route is around a 5 minute cycle away. Relax in this peaceful place to stay, a beautiful, light and airy 2 bedroom bungalow situated in a quiet residential street in Leadgate. There is a large garden at the rear of the property and private parking at the front. It has gas central heating and UPVC double glazing. It is close to local amenities. Located within 35 minutes drive of the historic market towns of Corbridge and Hexham, the Cathedral city of Durham and vibrant Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The Annexe

The Annexe on High Woodside Farm is an ideal location for couples or families who want to visit the North East of England It is a 15 minute drive to Durham and a 30 minute drive to Newcastle and Sunderland a 40 minute drive. The Annexe has an open plan kitchen, diner and lounge on the ground floor with a bathroom, consisting of toilet, sink and shower and 2 bedrooms on the first floor. It is very light and modern and has a small courtyard.

At the end of a wooded lane, through a farm gate, two 1930s cargo rail carriages recovered from the North East Railway have been transformed into cosy retreats at Lockhaugh Farm. Carriage No. 1 is one of four unique rentals, uniquely positioned where Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Northumberland converge. Wild swimming, fishing, cycling and endless walks are just beyond the gate. Star-filled skies, owls, deer and badgers await.
