A Highland cottage built in the 1720's, newly refurbished in the spirit of Scottish country living. Lochside Cottage has stunning loch views, is pet-friendly, has new satellite internet in Jan 2024 and a wood-burning stove. It sleeps 8 (+2 ) with all bed linen/towels provided. It is a beautiful rural location, surrounded by forests and mountains, with various shops and attractions available within a hour's drive. Lochside Cottage is near many different lochs, woodland walks, and mountains, which all have their own character. It is very quiet and peaceful, and is an ideal waterside retreat.

The Anchorage, Family Friendly,Views, plus Kayaks

The Anchorage, Arrochar, was built circa 1913 and has been newly upgraded in December 2019 giving the cottage a luxurious interior with gas central heating and beautiful wood burning stove. Two ensuites and a beautiful bathroom provides guests with plenty of room whilst the large garden with pizza oven and BBQ has amazing views where guests can relax on the decking or seek shade in the lean to. Everyone can use the fire pit, games room or play area to keep occupied or use the Kayaks provided.

We now also have an outside bath house in the garden where you can lie back and enjoy the views beside the river.

Upstairs are 2 ensuite bedrooms (one standard double, one king or twin). Downstairs is an open-plan living space, well-equipped kitchen and a wet room.

Located on the waters edge of Loch Katrine in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher etc. Linens are provided for your stay. From 01.09.25 we have a new hot tub and sauna available. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate a Sunday arrival or departure.
