Unfortunately no dogs/children/ infants are allowed as we are a working sheep farm & surrounded by water. Two bedroom house is situated on the edge of a very small village with beautiful open views across country side .There is a play park for children . This is an excellent base for outdoor enthusiasts , close to mountain bike tracks and hill walks, it is on part of National cycle route 7 . The beaches are 25 minute drive away and only 10 minute drive to main town of Dumfries. The property is situated on bus route . There is storage for bikes . The house is next door to the owners property.

Welcome to our idyllic riverside cottage. Nestled in the picturesque Dumfries & Galloway countryside and set on the banks of Cairn Water. The area is rich with wildlife. Red squirrel, deer, kingfisher, woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and otter are just a few of the local visitors spotted from our garden. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.

Dumfries and Galloway is a part of Southern Scotland often overlooked by those heading North to the Highlands. It retains a slow old fashioned character and is a hub for arts and crafts as well as having many lovely beaches, pubs and restaurants. Our cottage is just the thing for getting away from modern life and relaxing. Exceptionally quiet and peaceful with gorgeous views, great walks etc. Dogs are welcome
