Cozy apartment & sauna in the center of Saariselkä

Welcome to my holiday home in the heart of Saariselkä – only a few minutes' walk away of Urho Kekkonen National Park trailheads. I renovated and furnished my home completely in 2023 with all modern amenities while preserving the traditional stone-built fireplace and Finnish sauna. With three beds upstairs and a large sofa bed downstairs, the accommodation is comfortable for various types of groups. The remote working space, fully equipped kitchen and laundry also make it ideal for a longer stay.

Relax with the family or with a larger group in this peaceful villa in the middle of the wilderness of Eastern Lapland. The property has amenities of normal home (running water, sauna, etc.), a cozy fireplace that creates an atmosphere, and network connection that works at 200/200 speed. There is no light pollution, your own peace and quiet is guaranteed and in suitable weather conditions you can admire the auroras directly from the accommodation's yard. Design villa with sauna and forest views

Watch the northern lights glow outside the living room's floor-to-ceiling window, in one of Lapland's darkest, quietest corners. This wilderness villa sits next to Urho Kekkonen National Park, with its own sauna and, a short walk away, Suomen Latu Kiilopää's fell centre (rental, restaurant, ski tracks). Husky and reindeer safaris, restaurants and slopes are 15 min away in Saariselkä; Ivalo Airport is 35 min. Aurora sightings aren't guaranteed, but few places give a better shot from indoors.

Authentic Countryhouse at the Reindeer Farm

Welcome to the wild isolation of Eastern Lapland! This country house, built in the 70s, has served as the main building of a reindeer farm, a loving home, grandma’s place, and a shelter for a bunch of cats, dogs, and motherless reindeer babies. Decades have given this house a unique character. It is located between a fish-filled pond and the River Luiro. A small village shop is approximately 2 km away. Massive reindeer herd sightings and hangouts are guaranteed in the wintertime!

Koivulan talo sijaitsee rakennushistoriallisesti arvokkaassa Suvannon kylässä, missä luonto ole kuin askeleen päässä Pyhätunturin hiihtokeskuksen aktiviteetit niin kesällä kuin talvella ovat noin 20min ajomatkan päässä

Villa Guolbba / Saariselkä Skaidicottage

Tunnelmallinen Guolbba tarjoaa upeat puitteet rentouttavaan lomailuun. Saariselän Guolbba mökki on valmistunut vuonna 2012. Mökki on tilava, viihtyisä ja kattavasti varustettu. Mökin alakerrassa kaksi makuuhuonetta, joissa molemmissa on parivuoteet. Yläkerran korkealla parvella on lisäksi kaksi erillistä vuodepaikkaa. Alakerran olohuone ja keittiö on yhtenäistä tilaa. Keittiössä on laadukkaat Siemensin kodinkoneet, iso jääkaappi, erillinen pakastin ja kattava astiasto.

Arctic Light Hut

It is easy to relax in this unique and peaceful holiday destination. Wooden-framed, partially glass-roofed northern lights hut, built in 2019. Perfect for observing the northern lights and the starry sky indoors in winter. Glass roof on the north side. In summer, the hut is illuminated by the summer night sun. The hut has two beds under a glass roof, a kitchen area, a washroom/toilet and a wind closet. The glass roof has heating, which keeps it bright despite the weather.
