The Saltbox was originally built back in 1940, but given a full face lift for its new adventure! Our cottage is dog friendly and located between Ocean Shores and Seabrook, about a 15 minute drive to each. Whether you're looking to enjoy the sound of the ocean from the balcony, a cozy fire down in the pit, game nights with the family, or a quiet space for you and your pups, we hope you'll find it here. Explore the "World's Longest Beach" in the colorful town of Long Beach or visit the historical lighthouse at Cape Disappointment State Park, all within a short drive from An Nead.

The Salt Shack: Westport Beach Cabin

Make memories on the coast: visit the historic lighthouse, book a fishing charter, surf, tour the winery, walk the soft sand beaches and bird watch. The beach, paved beach trail and lighthouse are a short 1/2 mile walk from the cabin. The 🏄‍♀️ surf break and Marina are only 4 miles. Discover nearby attractions like Twin Harbors State Park (2 miles), Westhaven State Park (2 miles) and Grayland Beach State Park Drive-On Beach Access (6 miles).

Our cabin is on a quiet country road. While nestled in the trees, the cabin sits on a bluff and offers amazing views of the Columbia. It is 45 min. from Astoria, and 60 min. from Long Beach. Sit on the porch and watch river traffic, eagles and deer. Build a fire, in the fireplace, or the firepit. play games or read. Relax on the porch with a cup of coffee, tea or a glass of wine and enjoy the stunning view of the river and the wildlife.
