Relax with the whole family in this serene setting along a native brook trout stream where nature's sounds prevail. Most every room has wonderful views of the Hazel River and the Appalachian Mountains (Shenandoah NP) beyond. The river's clear waters invite fly fishing, and swimming holes abound as do nearby hiking trails in SNP (favorites, Old Rag and Marys Rock). Noted restaurants are nearby as are many vineyards and antique stores. (County code encourages multi-day [weekly/monthly] stays).

Old Rag Mountain Cabin

Old Rag Cabin is close to hiking trails such as Old Rag Mountain and White Oak Canyon Falls. It is nestled is on 4 secluded, wooded acres in the Blue Ridge mountains. The cabin overlooks a serene pond full of fish. Rose and Robinson rivers are a short walk away. Enjoy hiking, fishing, scenic drives, campfires, wine tasting, civil war battlefields, apple picking, horseback riding and much more. It is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. Only 90 min drive from D.C. Unplug!

Enjoy our secluded 1850s solid brick farmhouse. Completely renovated with modern conveniences, including central AC & super fast, Starlink internet. 5 miles from Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns. A short walk to Lake Arrowhead. We also own the downtown cafe, Broad Porch Coffee, so are local and can help if you ever need anything. We are family friendly and love dogs, no pet fee. Renovated lakefront apartment, downstairs from the main home. It is located on beautiful Greene Mountain Lake with year-round lake and mountain views. Wildlife on the lake includes geese, herons, ducks, osprey, eagles, turtles, and beavers. The setting is serene and peaceful. You will have a private entrance and a covered porch. Kayaks are available for your use on the lake. Unit approved with a Special Use Permit for Tourist Lodging by Greene County.
