Southview is a newly renovated 17th century croft house , located in Portskerra , an old fishing port with slipway and harbour. Being 500m from the famous NC 500 A836 route, Southview has easy access to Thurso (17 miles) nearest town with supermarkets / shopping , and to the west, Betty Hill (13 miles) , with Melvich , Strathy , Farr and Reay beaches waiting to be explored . King room with bay view and private bathroom

The king bedroom is on the ground floor with views of Thurso Bay and Dunnet Head. Within the room are fitted wardrobes, charging points and tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. A continental breakfast is served in the room. Our home is situated above Scrabster harbour, it is a 15-20 minute walk to catch the Orkney ferry. Alternatively it is a great place to stay if you're working in the area or exploring Caithness. If you're passing through on the NC500 this is ideal as a stopping point

The Highland Haven, converted barn, John O'Groats

The Highland Haven is perfect for those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney in a group. Our two rooms have traditional box beds and can sleep up to 10 (4 in one room, 6 in the other), each with Ensuite and an extra wet room. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounging area surrounding a wood burner. We have secure parking, free laundry facilities and WIFI . Our location is stunning and full of wildlife. Our large family home is situated in a quiet residential part of Kirkwall so you can be assured of a restful sleep. We are a 5-10 minute walk from the town centre with its unique local shops and cafes, St Magnus Cathedral, Earls Palace and museum. For the whisky lovers we are a short walk from the famous Highland Park Distillery. We are a 5 minute walk from the new Balfour Hospital and Health Centre complex. We love meeting people and welcome guests from all backgrounds into our home.

On the outskirts of the historic town of Stromness in the West Mainland of Orkney, this single-story barn conversion has one bedroom, an open-plan living/dining/kitchen space, and a bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. All on one level, the property is wheelchair accessible throughout. It has stunning views across Hoy Sound and out to the open Atlantic. Parking is available right outside, but if you visit without a car, regular buses from Stromness go to all areas of Orkney.

Ideally situated for exploring the north of Sutherland and Caithness, this area is popular for walking, fishing, surfing, golfing and has one of the most beautiful beaches in the area!

Dogs are welcome; please bring bedding for them. Breakfast: cereal, milk, fruit juice, tea, coffee, bread, butter, jams, & yoghurt. Check in after 4pm (rarely we may ask you to come a little later.)
