Sea View cabin 8min, walk to beach

This is a 1 bedroom cabin with a queen. Duvet and pillows. There is also a pullout sofa bed. It is a place to get away from the hustle and bustle. It is run on gas and solar power. There is no TV or microwave. Leave behind your hair dryer and hair straighteners and enjoy the privacy, peace and view. There is a BBQ available. Linen can be provided for a fee. 1st 2 guests are $100 per night then $10 per head per night after that. We are happy to provide a tent for kids to sleep in out on the lawn.

Welcome to Wharehine Farm Cabin, a cosy off-grid cabin with luxurious touches nestled in the rural community of Wharehine. Surrounded by uninterrupted views of rolling farmland and the coast. Relax watching the endless stars from the outdoor bath or enjoy reading a book and glass of wine snuggled on the couch. Only an hour from Auckland’s north shore, the seven acre property comprises of two separate residences - the farmhouse and the cabin, each with its own separate driveway and amenities.

Tara Valley Cabin

A boutique, sun-drenched and special hideaway set on 5 acres of permaculture tranquility. Your own three private cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. The bedroom opens out to a covered deck, and the full kitchen has a covered area with a large outdoor dining table and gas BBQ. Up the steps to the bathroom with a fresh, waterless, European electric toilet. Close to nature, beaches, markets, walks, cafes and fun.

Tui Bush Cabin

Take a short drive (approx 3kms) up the valley from Ngunguru to Tui Bush Cabin. This is where you can relax amongst the native bush, and listen to the tui's chatter from dawn till dusk. Our beautiful small wooden cabin comprises of a fitted kitchen with a 4 burner gas hob, convection microwave, toaster, jug, refrigerator and sink. A drop leaf table and chair. A double bed with sheets and duvet. Separate bathroom with flush toilet, basin and shower. Outside decking with table and chairs.

Tiny Tidal Retreat - on estuary

Peaceful setting right on estuary. Centrally located in Mangawhai Village. Perfect for couples or just yourself on holiday or business. Microwave, fridge, hotplate, kettle and toaster. Tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper and cooking oil. Linen and towels provided. Wifi, TV with Netflix. Heatpump/Air-con. Outdoor table and chairs. Easy walking distance to Tavern, Saturday village markets, cafes and takeaways. Fenced off and private from main house. Free parking in cul-de-sac. Keysafe entry.

Wee cosy Bach made up of caravan & annexe. With dbl bed in bedroom; Sofa Bed in lounge & king single bed in dinette. Very very cosy for 5, better for family. Includes power, water, gas, wifi, SKY, Netflix. Bach fully furnished - full frig/freezer, gas hob & oven; washing machine, dishwasher (adj. shed); microwave, Nespresso machine, smart TV. Sea view on a tree lined grassed level section. Boat/car parking. NB Floor Plan change - ‘Bath’ by bedroom is now a walk in pantry with sink.

Riverside Studio

Welcome to the Riverside Studio from where a short stroll takes you to the Town Basin marina with cafes, shops and restaurants and the Hundertwasser art center and park. Maybe you fancy a walk around the Town Basin loop. Beautiful native bush walks up Parihaka from where you can enjoy sweeping views over the city and Whangarei Harbour or along the Hatea River, are on your door step. For a bigger work out you can keep going, via A.H. Reed park, right up to the Whangarei falls.

Tranquil rural getaway

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Close enough to all the shops, bars and restaurants in Warkworth and Matakana, but with the Te Aroroa trial (500 metres) and countryside on your doorstep. Less than 10 mins to Warkworth, 15 mins to Matakana with its vineyards & markets, close to Omaha beach and the beautiful Tawharanui Peninsula. A great base to explore this incredible area and then relax after a busy day of hiking, beaching & enjoying the local hospitality.

Moonrise was inspired by the movies of Wes Anderson. You will find it down a private country road in a garden filled with many birds who visit from the bush and nearby wetlands. At night the sky is full of stars. We have carefully crafted the cabins to provide a quirky off grid life and a tranquil experience where you can recharge in nature, read or play boardgames. The beach, along with shops and cafes are a 7 minute drive away and bush walks are just up the road.
