Our cabin is rustic yet enchanting. Hand-built in 1947, Longacres is the perfect cozy place to unplug and unwind. But if you need high-speed internet, you’ve got it! Old Town Manteo is a charming harbor town where you will feel far from the beach boxes and OBX crowds. Longacres is 1 mile from downtown, a 5 minute walk to the Roanoke Sound and a 12 minute drive to the Nags Head beaches. To complete your adventure, we provide bikes and kayaks so you can explore the water and town at your own pace.

Located in the center of a quiet neighborhood, we are only a short walk, bike ride, or drive to many local restaurants, shops, attractions, and the beach. We have poured so much love into this space in hopes that travelers can experience the joy that the Outer Banks brings to us every single day.

Atlantic Winds Cottage (1968), an original Nags Head bungalow, is newly remodeled! The cottage is on a private street with only two other cottages. (See 2ndwind and Cackalacky Dreamin' to rent together.) Beach access is just 100 yards away, down a secret path just steps from the cottage! Step out on the front porch to chill, read a book or chat with family and friends. The back deck faces the beach with adirondack chairs, picnic table, and a park grill for grilling.
