Alternatively surf at Sandend, follow the whisky trail, play golf on the stunning courses and fish locally. Immerse yourself in the many historical castles and ruins. Light the log burner, cook supper in the quirky kitchen and sleep peacefully in pure linen sheets. Hot water bottles provided!

The kitchen is located at the back of the building with access to a small, enclosed garden perfect for a slow breakfast in the sun or an evening drink on the lawn. Shannelton House is located in the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside approximately 6 miles from Banff in north-east Scotland. Our accommodation is a converted steading which comprises of 3 self contained holiday apartments. All our apartments are a "home-from-home" and kitchens equipped with everything you need along with separate bedrooms and bathrooms. You can also enjoy a movie in our cinema room, work out in the gym or work up a sweat in the sauna.

The old schoolhouse (built in 1866) has loads of character and feels remote and quiet despite being well situated just off the main Banff/Huntly road. Banff is about 5 minutes drive. The garden is large and you have full run of the whole premises during your stay. There are some lovely walks from the house.
