If you love beach activities our cottage is approximately 5 minute drive to Matagorda Beach where you can spend hours soaking up the sun, watching the sunset, along with an evening beach bonfire.

Nicely updated 2 bedroom 1 bath downstairs unit with bay views from the front yard. we offer 2 free parking spaces. Come enjoy the quaint little town of Palacios and go fishing or boating! There is no bay access in this little neighborhood but the public boat dock and public piers are only minutes away and the beach is just a short drive to Port Lavaca. If you have kids this is the beach for them, if not, you'll love it too. Enjoy an evening with live music at Dannys on the Bay.

Perfect for river or shallow water fishing, kayaking and bird watching. Less than a mile to intracostal canal and public boat ramp. Many native and migratory birds can be seen throughout the year and with the San Bernard Wildlife Refuge hosting their annual Migration Celebration it's perfect for bird watchers of all ages.

You will feel in an Island surrounded by water with spectacular views of Sunrises and Sunsets.

The Mulberry House Matagorda

The Mulberry House is centrally located townsite Matagorda, just a minute drive to the harbor, local shopping, small grocery store, excellent fishing and great food. This is a simple cottage that provides a full kitchen, washer and dryer and lots of sleeping area. We have most everything you could need for an at-home feel on your vacation. (Pets may be welcomed on a case-by-case basis. Please note there is a $50 per pet fee.) Come play with us in Matagorda!
