I’ve loved Tofino since I first stayed in a tiny cabin at the end of Cox Bay with my Mom, Dad, Sisters, Aunts, Uncle and Grandparents. I was left enchanted by the rainforest and the tide pools just steps from the cabin door. I purchased the lot in 2017 and designed and built the house myself with the help of my close friend Mike. The design of the house is meant to bring the beauty of the rainforest inside while the sprawling living space is for families to spend time and make memories together.

Beachfront - Chesterman Beach Loft

Chesterman Beach Loft is a cozy, well-appointed beachfront retreat perfect for families. This private 2-bedroom suite occupies the top floor of a separate carriage house, detached from the main residence. Featuring a queen bed, double bunk, fully equipped kitchen, and forest views. Enjoy direct beach access via a private path from this prime beachfront location. Note: no ocean view from the suite. Ideal for those seeking an unpretentious, comfortable coastal escape steps from Chesterman Beach.

Located in walking distance to West Coast Highlights like the family friendly MacKenzie beach, where you can have campfires, try SUPing and experience stunning sunsets. 400m away you find everything you need, i.e. small general store and surf rental, food places like ‚Tacofino‘. It is a 2-min. drive to Chesterman Beach and to Tofino downtown.

Stunning View and private deck from Loon Room

The Loon Room at Tides Inn is an authentic large inn style room with private entrance, deck over looking Duffin cove. The Cove has very limited access, it’s the perfect spot to escape the bustle of town. This traditional bedroom suite has a small dining table, sitting area, wet bar, and bathroom with a jetted tub and shower it does not have cooking facilities. The Loon Room is situated within walking distance of Tofino. Our guest suite complies with local and provincial laws.
