This impressive building was a former music school, which has been renovated and turned into stunning private duplex apartments. This ensemble is more than a century old and has some very typical Belgian features with terraces, gardens, red bricks and metal beams. From there, you can walk to the main square where the weekly (Saturday before 13h00) fresh market is located with a wonderful choice of vegetables, fruits, flowers and other local products. The main train station is also accessible, Brussels and Antwerp are only 20 mn away with direct lines. A place for bikes is available, a local supermarket is also nearby as well as relaxing cafes and restaurants. Finally, the National Airport of Zaventem can be reached in 15 mn by taxi when there is no traffic.

An original spiral staircase gives access to the living room, kitchen, bathroom and private balcony on the first floor. On the second floor is the bedroom with a double bed and garden view. In the spacious hallway next to it, there are two sofa beds and space for a crib. The house is quietly situated on the blue-green outskirts of Mechelen, just 6 km from the city center.
