Private Cottage on Lookout Mountain

The Blue Cottage is located atop beautiful, historic Lookout Mountain. It comfortably accomodates 2 people. The cottage is within walking distance of the Lookout Mountain Flight Park (hang gliding), and within an easy 7-8 mile drive to Rock City, Point Park and Ruby Falls. Cloudland Canyon State Park is just down the road and offers wonderful hiking trails and waterfalls. Pets are allowed. Prior approval is required. A pet fee is charged. This small remodeled home is located on a farm close to town. It is has some traffic noises. You will hear farm tools and farm animals. Enjoy nature and city sights of Rome, while also resting well and enjoying fishing, swimming and farm animals. You will find some original features in the home, mostly renovated. Remarkable privacy and calm: our little cabin is TRULY a getaway. This acreage is nearly untouched forest, where small paths lead down through plentiful mountain laurel, hardwoods and fantastical sandstone boulders that make Lookout Mountain a climbing destination. McLemore is 5 minutes away, and some of North GA and AL’s best state parks are short drive away. Deep on a rural drive and nestled against protected conservation property, the wildlife and stars easily outnumber the humans.

Cozy Country Cottage on beautiful Weiss Lake.

Cozy cottage on Weiss Lake with lake access from April to October (with large dock.) The four seasons porch overlooks the lake during full pool (Mid to Late April- Mid October) and a sun porch overlooks the front garden. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths which sleeps 6 adults comfortably. The home is decorated in a cottage style. Full kitchen and bathrooms stocked with towels. Home has a strict NO SMOKING policy and pets are not allowed without prior approval (fee will apply).
