Centrally located, it is a short drive to Winterplace Ski Resort, Hatfield McCoy Trail, Pipestem State Park, New River and Bluestone River. An EV charging station is 1/2 mile away. A couple’s get away, traveling for business, or family vacay, our cabin is perfect. We strive to make every guest as comfortable as possible!

Almost Heaven Hideaway

The cottage is located 16 mile from Pipestem State Park (hiking, fishing, horseback riding, ziplines, full 18 and 9 hole golf course and lots of other seasonal activities). We are 18 miles to Winterplace Ski Resort and 27 miles from the historic railroad town of Hinton WV. There are beautiful waterfalls nearby at Camp Creek located 10 miles and Brush Creek Falls 8 miles from the cabin! Whether its for a vacation, special occasion, honeymoon, or quick getaway you are sure to love your stay.

Our cozy cabin has everything you need to feel at home while you enjoy the sounds of nature. It accommodates 3-4 guests...kids and pets are welcome. Historic Hinton is nearby and offers a waterslide and pool, along with several shops and eateries, also Bluestone Lake & Bluestone State Park, New River Gorge National Park and Pipestem Resort & State Park are a short drive. During the winter months we are a short drive to Winterplace Ski Resort & winter activities at Pipestem State Park

Tiny Cabin On Bent Mountain

Welcome to our tiny cabin on the mountain. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 490 sq ft cabin sits on 3 beautiful acres covered in fruit and nut trees. We just built this cabin in 2019 on land that once belonged to my great great grandmother. In fact, the peonies and apple trees on the property were planted by her. This cozy cabin has a bathtub with shower made from a steel horse water tank, a large mini fridge, and a convection oven. The outdoor pavilion is where we spend most of our time.

This cabin offers 3 bedrooms 1.5 baths, is furnished with nice up to date furniture and beds, has central heat and air, fireplace, 3 Roku TVs, Washer Dryer, Front and back screened porches. This is a great place to get away from it all. Cabin is within minutes of two lakes, three rivers, beautiful waterfalls, great fishing, hiking, golf courses, horseback riding, kayaking, zip lines, and nature trails. We're open year-round!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Spend your days riding the trails. Once you un-trailer your ATV, you will not need to move your vehicle. With an ATV friendly town nearby, ride to the grocery store, gas station, Lynn's Drive Inn or Buffalo Trail Restaurant. With the trails accessible nearby you won't waste any time getting to the fun! Spend the evenings in the hot tub or by the fire pit, while cooking dinner on the grill in the spacious outdoor area.

The Whitetail at Pipestem Place

The Whitetail is a conventional-style log cabin, cozy and appealing, with two bedrooms, two baths, living room, dining and kitchen; stone wood-burning fireplace, central A/C-heat. The Whitetail is reminiscent of the simple, tranquil country life as you swing or rock on the front porch, listen and watch for beautiful songbirds, deer and other wildlife that often wander across the meadow.
