The Laneway House is a compact, modern dwelling in Vancouver, with a love for simplicity and authenticity, particularly inspired by Japanese culture. The exterior features "yakisugi" (焼杉), an ancient wood preservation technique, and pine board-lined windows. The house's design draws from the Vancouver Specials typology prevalent in the area.
