Private Cottage Lake Minnewaska

Relax in your own private cottage near the beach & much more! Two bedrooms with full beds, full kitchen, bath, open living space with smart TV, futon and ample seating. Large deck with gas grill & lake views. Directly across is beautiful Starbuck Beach & boat launch. Take the bike trail for some ice cream by the marina or head to the State Park for hiking, horse trails, & winter trails too. The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Close to the bike trails, beaches, mini-golf, etc.

Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. A manager lives on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r."
