Ryders Retreat offers a modern, cosy base from which to enjoy all that Westgate on Sea offers. As if the beautiful beaches (just 200 steps away) and many restaurants weren’t enough, there’s the selection of independent shops in town, the Carlton cinema and Westgate golf course all within 5 minutes walk. Enjoy the prom walk through to Margate or catch the train to easily explore the other towns in Thanet. Remember to head to West Bay for the absolutely stunning sunset before a great nights sleep!

Norman Road, recently renovated is the perfect seaside getaway. A couples retreat or friends/family getaway for up to 7 guests be it a summer beach holiday or winter walks & relaxing in front of the fire. Blue Flag beach St. Mildred's Bay is 300 metres from the door, explore the Westgate High St shops, Margate Old Town, tennis at the nearby courts or enjoy the sun and a BBQ on the private patio. If you’re looking for a quiet stay by the sea then our lovely apartment will be perfect. A stones throw from the Blue Flag beach of Minnis Bay with wonderful views, walks and cycle routes - The Viking Coastal Trail is on our doorstep. Close to Margate, Broadstairs & Whitstable your location couldn’t be better. A comfortable sitting/dining area with TV (Access to Amazon, Netflix, BBC IPlayer ITV Hub) bedroom, shower room & area with microwave, toaster, kettle, mini fridge (for milk) & patio area.

Our beach apartment is in a beautiful converted Victorian period house, with it's own private balcony, less than 5 mins walk from Minnis Bay Beach. Birchington Station (10 mins walk) provides good links to London and nearby coastal retreats. There is a parade of shops with a convenience store, fish and chips, cafe and micro pub 2 mins away. The Minnis Bay Brasserie is a 5 min walk away along the promenade. There are great routes for walking/running/cycling in all directions.

Sunset Sea View Writer’s Retreat

Beautiful flat with six sea facing floor to ceiling windows. This is a Grade II-listed building with a rare outlook over gardens and out to sea. However, the facade and railing are in need of TLC. Don't be put off by the shabby exterior. Works are being slowly undertaken to renew the outside but this all takes time. The flat may not be suitable for toddlers and young children as the windows open to the floor. No TV, but a projector is supplied. New! Insanely comfy dog bed.
